Intel Itanium Processor 9300 Series

The Intel® Itanium Processor 9300 Series, formerly codenamed "Tukwila," is the world’s first two-billion transistor microprocessor. Its four high-performance cores substantially boost performance for many applications and provide greater capacity for consolidating more applications and heavier workloads. The Itanium processor 9300 series is the first Itanium processor built with Intel® QuickPath Interconnect, increasing interconnect and system bandwidth substantially. A greater physical memory capacity using standard DDR3 memory components allows more capacity for memory intensive workloads while the next generation RAS and manageability features extends the ability to detect, correct, and manage errors. Resources can be dynamically allocated via partitioning and the new Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel VT-i2) improves robustness and efficiency. Read more here.
