About

Now in its fourth year, the Itanium Innovation Awards, sponsored by the Itanium Solutions Alliance, carry forward the Alliance's goal of recognizing ground-breaking work - from all areas of industry and research - developed using Intel® Itanium-based solutions.

The Itanium Innovation Awards
The Awards recognize and reward end users, system integrators, and developers of Itanium-based solutions for outstanding use of Itanium-based servers in their IT deployments. Submissions are judged in four categories: Mission-Critical Data, Data Center Modernization, Computationally Intensive Applications, and Humanitarian Impact.

Finalists and winners in each category receive international industry acclaim and high visibility for their work, professionally produced promotional materials, and the chance to network with top Intel and Sponsor executives. In addition, each winner will receive an attractive trophy and the chance to address an audience of high-tech industry leaders at an exclusive awards dinner. The Humanitarian Impact category also includes a cash prize of $25,000 for the winning submission.

Competition Schedule and Judging

Innovation Award finalists and winners are determined by an independent panel of judges selected for their leadership in innovation and for their category expertise. Judges assess entries based on a scorecard system that considers several key factors of the solution's deployment. The 2010 Itanium Innovation Awards Celebration will be held September 14th.

Itanium Innovation Awards Celebration
The Itanium Innovation Awards Celebration is held every year in San Francisco concurrently with the Intel Developer Forum. Innovation Award finalists, Alliance sponsor and charter member representatives, other industry leaders in enterprise and technical computing, press, and industry analysts gather for hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and live music to honor innovation and achievement in solving organizational challenges using Intel Itanium technology. Winners of the Mission-Critical Data, Data Center Modernization, and Computationally Intensive Applications categories will be announced live at the event.
